BIO - REMEDIATION

Kalys Engineering Environmental Consulting Services offers the recycling of your petroleum impacted soils, yard waste, and other waste streams through waste composting. We mix together these wastes with moisture and air, process them, and render as "clean fill". The soil can then be beneficially used instead of disposed into the landfill.


IN PLANT SERVICES

Kalys Engineering Environmental Consulting Services offers in plant services to provide industries with waste management professionals on-site. These professionals specialize in minimizing the cost of managing industrial waste streams and the effect that the waste streams have on the environment. Each Kalys Engineering Environmental Consulting Services professional is an expert in environmental regulations, recycling, and conservation technologies and can bring insight to the decision-making process of our industrial customers.

 

Kalys Engineering Environmental Consulting Services designes, owns and operates material recovery facilities incorporated into a Waste-to- Energy facilty. These facilities are responsible for the sorting and processing of recyclables prior to resale to a third-party. With the increase in the amount of recyclables being disposed of, material recovery facilities play an important role in the process of collecting recyclables to redistributing them to third-parties to reintroducing them to the general public.


WASTE - TO - ENERGY 

Unlike combustion processes, gasification is an oxygen-starved process that converts solid fuels (biomass, coal, etc.) into gaseous fuels (Hydrogen and Carbon Monoxide). Gasification is uniquely capable of producing not only heat and power, but also can be used with downstream catalysts to convert the syngas to liquid fuels and chemicals (diesel, ethanol, methanol); and, to hydrogen gas for fuel cell applications.
When using biomass feedstocks, which are considered ‘carbon-neutral’ (i.e. no net added carbon emissions), gasification technology can concurrently mitigate wastes (i.e. municipal, industrial and agricultural) while producing renewable energy. When using coal feedstocks, gasification technology can achieve greater efficiencies compared to combustions processes while removing trace contaminants from the gas prior to combustion of the syngas. Kalys Engineering also uses the Rapid Thermal Process (RTP) proven by Envergent Tehnologies, a Honeywell Company.

Kalys Engineering Consulting provides a range of design, engineering and related support services for project developers and customers. We offer technical design services as well as related consulting and financial modeling services that create value and help to define project parameters and economics.

Kalys Engineering provides preliminary engineering and design services for early stage project analyses. The resulting information from such work is often invaluable to project developers as it helps them gain insight into the specific overall heat and mass balance, unit operations and even individual stream flows. From this, we are then able to generate the necessary budgetary capital costs.


SEAWATER DESALINATION


The scope of most of the project includes fully commissioned 1 MGD  to 8 MGD Seawater desalination into drinking water to be connected to the Municipal water stream line and / or to the Municipal nearest water treatment facilities. The Seawater Desalination also called Seawater Reverse Osmosis (SWRO) plant includes the Energy Recovery Devices and the high Pressure Pumps that is supplied by our Technical Partner ERI (Energy Recovery Inc.) with the PX Pressure Exchanger energy recovery device providing safe and reliable service. It is understood that our operation and maintenance personnel exercise prudence and proper safety practice to prevent injuries and to avoid damaging equipment and the surrounding environment. Our Technical Partner Amecosys (American Eco System) configures the onshore intake basin and pump sum; and perform the engineering design and the fabrication of the invisihead intake head of mill finish 316 stainless steel and the invisihead marine outfall of mill finish 2205 duplex steel. Kalys Engineering, with the client may  provide the site upgrades, civil construction and Balance of Plant equipment.

 

The project scope assumes that all initial project development needs may be provided by Kalys Engineering  under the Private – Private Partnership including site selection, permitting, construction and connection to the existing water stream of the Municipal Water Management. connection to the existing water stream up to a distance of 1 KM from site perimeter but any permitting or right of way (ROW) access beyond the perimeter must l remain the responsibility of the Client. In addition Kalys Engineering, LLP provides with the packaged Desalination plant, Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) contracted services, training and support services. The Project Development Expenses including land capital cost, plant upgrades or interconnections, and soft costs related to permitting;  WPA (Water Purchase Agreement) deposits/contracts are not included in the scope.
